Hi! I am Mrs. Tosha Varner
Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I am so excited to work with you and your child! It's going to be a year of fun, learning and lots of adventures and I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us!
I am married to my wonderful husband, Chris. We have a son, Isaac, who is in ninth grade and a daughter, Elizabeth, who is in sixth grade. They take up most of my free time, but some hobbies that I enjoy are scrapbooking, reading, and taking long walks. We have a chocolate lab, two cats, and a new puppy that keep us busy as well!
I have lived in Selinsgrove for the past 14 years.
This will be my 21st year in education. I have had many changes in my career that have brought me back to the classroom. I started my career in Maryland where I taught three years in first grade, two years in third grade and one year as a reading specialist. I moved to Pennsylvania and taught four years of first grade. Then I came to Selinsgrove School District 10 years ago. I was the Title 1 Reading Specialist for two years and had the privilege to be the literacy coach for three years. Then I got the opportunity to be back in the classroom teaching 3rd grade. This will be my sixth year teaching in 3rd grade!
It is my mission to instill a love for learning in all my students.
